Or perhaps they're simply/just/plainly enjoying/appreciating/cherishing a good nap/rest/slumber. Whatever their dreams/fantasies/visions are, we can only/surely/perhaps imagine/guess/speculate what adventures/experiences/stories they're having/experiencing/going through.

The old, worn/weather-beaten/creaky floorboards groaned under/with/as each step. A chill/The air/It felt unusually cold/damp/still within the burrow/tunnels/den.
